Chart notes

DISCO CENTS stalked the dueling pacesetters for three-quarters, angled out four wide at the top of the lane, closed past the embattled pair in the final furlong to be going away late the beneficiary of a perfect trip. TOMMY BEE set the pace the entire way while dueling from the inside, continued to do so for a mile, battling gamely through the lane, could not hold off the winner and finished his dueling partner's equal to dead heat for the place. BURNIN TURF pressed the pace through the first turn, vied on the lead from midway on the far turn to late in the lane and finished willingly as the duplicate of his fellow runner-up. CRAFTY KING reserved off the pace in the back half of the field and rallied with mild interest in the lane to hit the board. MARSAC went evenly failing to menace. PIQUANT was ot a threat going one-paced. MAYNARD was the distant trailer for the entire trip.
