Chart notes
HEMP HEAVEN settled off the early pace toward the inside, some some traffic late in the first turn, track the lead pack from along the rail up the backstretch and into the far turn, waited for room behind that group turning for home, slipped through along the rail to challenge, long drive inside the runner up, bested that one under brisk handling. RACE DAY REBAL away in good order, clear early, set a pressured pace up the backstretch and into the final turn, continued to hold a narrow advantage into the lane while allowing the winner the rail, extended duel to the wire, proved stubborn to the end while clearly second best. BURNING LEAVES prompted the issue up front while between horses, fell back in the second turn, moved out, regained the third spot nearing the furlong marker, no threat to the winner late. THEO'S THUNDER last away, fell well back in racing sluggishly for six furlongs, moved out a bit for the drive, displayed some mild late interest in picking off a couple of tiring rivals after the issue had been decided. BOBBY'S GIFT pressured the pace from the three path for six furlongs, gave way in the drive. THISPOINTINTIME raced back off the pace, had nothing for the stretch run, trailed in.
