Chart notes
PISCO sent for outside speed, set a pressured pace, turned back a challenge from WINTER FALCON, and drew clear when asked. VANTASTICCANAVERAL came over bothering SQUALOTORO, prompted the pace inside, rider lost the left iron on the far turn and was left unbalanced, nearly coming off twice before recovering, then finished willingly through the lane to take place honours. WINTER FALCON pressed the early pace while three wide, was asked to quicken in the final turn, was unable to get by PISCO and was bested for place. SQUALOTORO was bumped leaving the gate, stalked five wide, moved up closer into striking range nearing the final turn, and lacked the kick that was needed. MAN AT THE PULPIT sat at the back of the pack, steadied behind VANTASTICCANVERAL to avoid a rider who was in trouble, swung out in the final turn, and failed to threaten. LAHUN sat in range while three wide, and was through early. JOCKEY OBJECTION- An objection was lodged by the rider of SQUALOTORO against the rider of VANTASTICCANAVERAL, alleging interference leaving the gate. After review by the Board of Stewards, VANTASTICCANAVERAL was disqualified and placed fourth for interference to SQUALOTORO.
