Chart notes
TOM CAT TUESDAY attended the very early pace from outside then pursued several lengths behind the leader past the half, advanced three furlongs out racing three wide on the turn, came into upper stretch a threat, bid near the furlong marker, dueled with the inside foe taking a narrow lead, brushed lightly with that one but prevailed. BARKSDALE was forced out and in tight at the start, switched out and swiftly moved forward outside foes to take the lead and edge clear by the nine-sixteenths, was challenged nearing mid-stretch, came out to meet that challenger for the duel, was headed but fought on while being brushed lightly late. TARANTINO broke outwardly, had a brief early lead but was outsprinted, steadily dropped back late up the backstretch racing inside foes at the rear into the turn, was encouraged along by the five-sixteenths, came out in upper- to mid-stretch, finished strongly outside but too late. MITTY'S GRIDDY switched out off the inside heading up the backstretch, raced outside four wide at the back on the turn, failed to menace. SHAN broke a bit awkwardly, shifted in and chased while moving up near the inside, was between foes at the tail late on the turn and turning for home, failed to rally.
