Chart notes
KING APOLLO followed in range three deep into the turn, remained three wide to the stretch, tipped out and bid in upper stretch, dueled into the final furlong, got carried out by MIDNITE MUSKET and edged clear in the final strides. MIDNITE MUSKET dueled from outside into the turn, put inner rival away late on the bend, challenged by KING APOLLO in upper stretch, fought on even terms into the final furlong, drifted out to the wire and yielded grudgingly in the end. SO I'M TOLD dueled from inside, failed to keep up with MIDNITE MUSKET late on the turn, churned on down the lane and earned third. RING GENERAL tracked outside a rival into the turn, went three wide into the stretch, lacked room and steadied at the eighth pole and improved position. NOVINOPHOBIA raced up close from inside into the turn, fell out of range and moved to the two path around the bend, then weakened in the drive. COULD BE GOLD raced up close between runners, steadied into the turn, exited the bend three to four wide and failed to rally. PERFECTO AMOR stalked along the rail, got shuffled at the seven-sixteenths pole, tipped three wide around the bend and weakened. LAMPY took up along the inside early, saved ground to the stretch and failed to menace.
