Chart notes
GETTINBY prompted the pace early, continued to press the pace into the stretch, challenged passing three-sixteenths marker, gained slim advantage in the drive, came in slightly in deep stretch and stubbornly held. CENTRAL DISPATCH was sent to the front, set pace slightly off the rail, came two wide into lane, relinquished front in upper stretch, remained inside and fought back bravely in the final yards but was denied. JERRY'S SPIRIT stumbled to his nose leaving the gate, recovered and was steered to the inside approaching the bend, loomed from the inside on the turn, came two wide into the lane, came out further in the lane, lost contact with top pair but gamely held third. GEEZER chased outside JERRY'S SPIRIT into and on the turn, continued on same path to the stretch, came in come in mid stretch and finished willingly. DEL MAR JERRY broke out slightly, dropped back to last in early stages and chased from well off the rail, was five wide around the turn, tipped out further in upper stretch and improved placing late. MEGA MOON between rivals and on four path to turn, remained on same path around the bend and failed to reach serious contention. DEVIL BE ME settled off the leaders, off the rail then three abreast, caught five wide traveling around the turn and weakened in the drive from well off the fence.
