SPUN LEGACY forwardly placed from the start, stalked the two leaders up the backstretch off the inside, advanced and challenged midway on the far turn, dueled into the lane, kicked clear late under steady handling. NYQUISTADOR pressed the leader from along the inside, fell back when idling through the final turn, continued to save ground into the lane, ran on to the wire, moved out late and was up for the second spot. NEW FUND last away, devoid of any speed for seven furlongs, steered out widest when straightened for home, staged a willingly rally down the middle of the course to be in time for the third spot. BULLFIGHT off the pace while racing toward the inside, continued to save ground second turn, in some traffic late in that bend, got through along the inside, shifted out a bit nearing the furlong grounds, improved late with some belated interest in some traffic. GALLATIN drew clear past the wire the first time, angled in toward but not on the inside, showed the way up the backstretch, responded when challenged by the winner second turn, dueled through upper stretch then caved in late to lose several positions at the wire. LAST MOMENT well back for much of the way, continued to see most of his rivals while waiting turning for home, eased out a bit and improved position through traffic. ROAD TRIPPIN near the back for six furlongs, picked way through some traffic second turn, came three wide into the stretch, improved past the furlong marker then flattened out a bit late. TERRE HAUTE in mid pack off the inside, four to five wide mild advance second turn, failed to sustain that advance through the lane to finish up one paced. CANTIS forwardly placed while four wide through the first turn, continued outside and was four wide again in the far bend, came three wide for the drive and weakened the final furlong. HARD ROW in the second flight off the rail, angled in nearing midstretch, had little left late. KING LEE in the main body, four wide into the stretch, also faltered in the final furlong. LION GUARD also in mid pack early, gave way along the rail far turn, finished well back.
