Chart notes
DUSTEM TOO raced up close from outside, drew alongside the leader with five-sixteenths remaining, kicked clear midstretch and stayed strong to the wire. CELESTIAL SKIES settled out of range outside rivals, came five wide into the stretch, produced a mild rally and got up for second. DRAGON KAT sprinted to the front from inside, challenged by DUSTEM TOO late on the bend, lost command in upper stretch, yielded to the winner, remained closest in pursuit into the last sixteenth, got caught for second but was able to hold on for third. ELSA DUTTON trailed outside a rival, angled widest around the bend, came six wide into the stretch, churned on down the lane and missed third. BITTER TRUTH trailed inside ELSA DUTTON early, went two wide into the turn, eased over to the three path, angled out and went five to six wide into the lane and failed to menace. BIG COIN followed in range early, lost ground two, three, then four wide on the turn, angled in turning for home and weakened. SHADY STRIPES hard to load behind the gate, broke well then raced up close on the inside, angled out at the five-sixteenths pole and weakened. BUTTERFLY BEACH sat off the pace on the inside, moved out to the three path on the turn, drifted out while tiring, eased in the late stages and walked off.
