Chart notes

GOOD TO BE LUCKY hit the gate hard inside at the break, recovered smartly to have a neck in front outside early on, contently let the inside speed rival go on with it dictating terms at the half mile pole, started to reel in the frontrunner two wide at the quarter pole, skimmed the fence getting a slight advantage taking the final corner and was kept busy in the last furlong holding off the oncoming runner up. MAYNARD'S SONG sat all alone having a couple of runners beaten in a strung out pack early on, moved closer passing an inside foe at the seven sixteenths pole uncorking a rally, made steady gains outside three wide on the turn, pounced in the four path outside a couple of rivals fighting for the lead, chased in vain in the late going but was denied at the wire unable to get by the determined winner through the stretch running. SWITCHIN' TO GLIDE stumbled on the start, recouped to having a nice position forwardly placed isolated watching the contesting front two runners midway down the backside, was hard ridden making little headway on the lead trio on the turn at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path straightening out for home and ran on mildly down the stretch to be a distant third at the finish line. HALCON NEGRO broke outwards into the gate on the start, trailed the field being a long last down the backside, saved ground around the oval still seeing the group, hugged the rail starting to reach for more ground and finished up with late interest passing tired foes down the lane settling on the fringes in the end. SCREEN SCENE was under a snug hold pressing the issue inside in the beginning, went on with it taking command on the rail by the half mile marker, opened up setting a lively tempo in midturn, gave way up top being engulfed on both sides in the three path at the head of the lane and had little left for the drive wilting between foes in the final furlong. BLACK GODDESS was unhurried near the rear having only a troubled starter beaten with the field strung out along the backside, ran well back off the leaders throughout the turn, swung out widest in the five-path turning for home but made little impression down the lane.
