CHARDONNAY DERBY In hand four wide, five wide into the lane, was cut loose, collared the leaders three across while full of run and drew off. MAIZE LOVED LAFFY Away best, vied along the rail, battled inside with a furlong to go and then was no match late. MY DEVINE ONE Broke slow, in hand along the two path, drifted out nearing the quarter pole taking away the path of VOLAMO, was set down for the drive and earned a share. PENCIMA Vied from between for a half, dueled into the lane, battled between a furlong out and tired. LUCKY AND GORGEOUS Unhurried four wide, three path into the last turn, five wide out of it and failed to fire. FLYING PHOEBE Unhurried along the three path, took the rail into the lane and tired. VOLAMO Vied three across early, close along the three path into the final turn, took up sharply when MY DEVINE ONE drifted out and then could not get back on track. Inquiry sign was posted along with a claim of foul by the rider of VALAMO against the winner for alleged interference at the top of the lane, was not allowed.
