Chart notes

GUS'S GAMBLE set the pace, took command on the far turn and was much the best. HARDWARE GAP was in touch, had a mild gain on the far turn and from the five path at the top of the stretch was up for place. BERKUS (FR) stalked the early leader, raced evenly from the inside on the far turn and from the three path at the top of the stretch held show. BONGINO was in mid pack and a factor on the far turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch needed more. BILL NEEDLE was off the pace and closed the gap on the far turn but from the six path at the top of the stretch was no threat. BOSTON BAY was in range and saved ground on the far turn but failed to fire. JACK BEANSTALK tracked the early leaders from the inside but chased on the far turn and was not a factor. FINAL RUN FOR LOVE was well back, showed little, was outdistanced and walked off.
