Chart notes
SILENT RUNNER tracked the leading pair inside, continued with a ground-saving pocket trip around the far turn, dropped inside of JACKIE PAPER and rallied between that foe and the rail, took the lead inside near the furlong mark and drove clear. ZOFFARELLI (IRE) settled near the rear early, began to improve from past the nine sixteenths, raced in the three path outside of SILENT RUNNER in the tracking flight around the far turn, swung four wide into upper stretch, advanced into contention in upper stretch, but was outkicked by SILENT RUNNER in the final furlong. SIR EXTON chased midfield while racing keenly, continued to chase in the two path on the far turn, was pushed along near the quarter, swung out five wide into upper stretch, and chased mildly under a drive for the show. MORAL DILEMMA advanced early to prompt the pace outside of JACKIE PAPER, continued to stalk the pace down the backstretch, pressed outside of JACKIE PAPER around the far turn, raced three wide between horses in contention in upper stretch, but flattened out in the final furlong. LORD KNOWS settled at the rear, continued at the rear around the far turn while saving ground, swung out near the center of the track for the drive and lacked the needed kick in the lane. JACKIE PAPER set the pace inside, took increased pressure from MORAL DILEMMA around the far turn, continued to contend between horses in upper stretch, was headed approaching the furlong pole and emptied out.
