Chart notes
DREAM BOY steadied a few strides out of the gate as inside rivals drifted outward, trailed down the backstretch, swung outside nearing the top of the stretch, circled his field through the stretch rapidly under left handed urging and got up in the final strides. CANDYMAN ANDY bumped at the start, dueled for the early lead two wide, took command after a quarter mile, shook clear on the turn, widened into the stretch then couldn't handle the late charge of the winner and finished well clear for second. SPRING RIVER bumped then drifted out at the start, offered a mild bid two wide into the stretch then leveled off. BAY JA BLUE stalked the early pace, improved position three wide nearing the top of the stretch then came up empty. TAP DANCING DAN bumped at the start and was no factor. LUCY'S FIRST SONG bumped then was forced outward at the start, matched strides for the lead past the half mile pole, had speed into the turn then weakened. DELIGHTFUL APPEAL had brief speed outside.
