Chart notes
LINE OF REASON was keen just behind the leaders, inherited the lead into the first turn when DAYS IN DUBLIN blew the turn and carried ENGLISH ICON out with him, continued to set the pace on the backstretch, set a pressured pace inside around the far turn as ENGLISH ICON encroached to his outside, turned that foe back into the lane, ran on while kept to task in the lane and held. LOCO POR SER LIBRE raced near the rear early, improved to a midpack spot around the first turn while racing a bit keenly, tracked the leading pair down the backstretch and into the far turn, ranged up three wide past the five sixteenths, kept on under a drive in the lane, improved on the leader in the final sixteenth and just missed. DOKKODO tracked the pace between horses early, was carried out into the first turn when DAYS IN DUBLIN blew the turn, continued near the rear from there, saved ground around the far turn and into the lane, shifted two wide approaching the furlong mark when ENGLISH ICON came in, and chased on mildly for the show. ENGLISH ICON prompted the early pace set by DAYS IN DUBLIN, was carried out into the first turn when DAYS IN DUBLIN blew the turn, regained a stalking spot just behind LINE OF REASON into the backstretch, engaged outside that foe near the seven sixteenths, pressed the pace two wide around the far turn, was turned back near the quarter pole, was driven in the lane to keep up, shifted in near the furlong pole, and weakened. ROAD RULES settled at the rear, continued at the rear of the main group after DAYS IN DUBLIN blew the first turn and dropped out of contention, continued at the rear of the main group down the backstretch and in the two to three path around the far turn, and had no rally in the lane. DAYS IN DUBLIN (IRE) was placed on the lead, bolted wide into the first turn carrying ENGLISH ICON and DOKKODO out with him, trailed along the far outside into the backstretch, continued to chase well behind the group, shifted closer to the inside but bolted to the far outside once again near the five sixteenths, was distanced from there, and walked off.
