Chart notes
RE ELECTION vied between horses, drew clear into the stretch and held under urging. SWEET WINNER vied to the turn, dropped back into the stretch, went evenly late and held for place. PAYNTED LION was crowded after the start, void of early speed, rallied on the turn, found his best stride late and earned show. SPURIOUS raced close early, raced outside, swung wide entering the stretch, closed steadily and didn't have enough left. OPPORTUNE NOTION saved ground to the turn, bid to get in range and came up empty late. MAGIC BAY lagged early, swung wide entering the stretch and failed to rally. QUAHOG REPUBLIC saved ground, showed brief speed only and did not threaten. THEY CALL ME SUE vied inside, dropped back into the turn and gave way.
