Chart notes
OVERWHELMING broke alertly and attended the pace two wide between foes, gained a slim advantage soon into the lane, drifted in after clearing near mid stretch then steadily widened while kept alert. REGAL FLAIR bobbled at the break, recovered and advanced inside foes to take a short early lead, handled outer pressure from a pair of rivals into and around the turn, ceded the front in upper stretch, chased on willingly through the final furlong and was able to save the place. MINIMUM BID , three wide between foes early, forced the issue three deep past the five sixteenths, chased on through the final three sixteenths but came up empty late. CHASING BONITO broke a bit slow, regrouped and edged up while saving ground, pursued the embattled trio to mid stretch then faded. OUR SURVIVOR dropped back under a ride early on, angled out leaving the far turn, circled four to five wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. PIPERS SONG , four deep early and in close range, failed to kick on with the leaders leaving the far turn and faltered.
