Chart notes

MISTY EYED was well positioned on the fence watching the engaged pair through the backside, was forced to move in three wide midway along the turn when the frontrunner was starting open up, closed in quickly four wide making a bid outside two rivals in upper stretch and had more to give late pulling away for the hard fought win in the final sixteenth of a mile. GALLEY HEAD forced the issue on the rail early on, moved past on the fence seizing control by the half, edged clear of her closest pursuer at the midpoint of the turn, had the two path straightening out for the drive no,ding on with a couple of outside foes bearing down, fought on stubbornly until the furlong pole but could not withstand the closing charge by the winner outside in deep stretch and just lasted at the wire from a resurgent foe saving for the secondary award. ZIPPY GAMBLE broke inwards just a touch on the start, settled inside another in the third flight down the back straight, began to lengthen stride smartly saving all the ground in midturn, was closing in sharply three wide trying to shoot through a tight opening between the contesting lead pair at the furlong pole, could not get the split in time having to be steadied losing all its momentum and determinedly rebounded in deep stretch coming on again late just missing outside for the place share at the wire. KAVALA broke outwards then was jostled between horses leaving the gate spotting the field many running down the backside, remained at the rear through the turn, had a strong spurt shaving the corner turning for home advancing inside of rivals, shifted out to the three path in the last eighth of a mile but ran on only mildly unable to threaten the top three at the at the finish line. MRS. HOT SHOT was on the outside of another near the rear, was roused two to three wide through the turn but could not keep up with five sixteenths from home, swung out widest to be in last in the five path at the top of the lane and could only manage to pass a tiring inside rival in mid-stretch. ONDINE LADY had a neck in front outside in the beginning, was relegated to a chasing role outside giving up the lead at the half, could not keep up to the pacesetter while being ridden in two wide at the five sixteenths pole going in the wrong direction, dropped back further losing position entering the stretch and faltered between horses at the furlong marker.
