Chart notes

BEAU CHEVAL was taken in hand early, tucked from the three path to the two path on the first turn, was rated off the pace, drafted in the two path on the far turn, waited behind horses into upper stretch, altered out for room and was roused at the three-sixteenths pole, rallied to the lead coming to the furlong marker, went clear into the final sixteenth and prevailed under steady urging. BIG FROSTY made light contact with AGGRESSION at the start, became keen under restraint early, saved ground while tugging hard on the bit going around the first turn, was rated off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, espied a tight inside opening into upper stretch, checked when lacking room along the rail at the three-sixteenths pole, moved to the two path around the furlong marker and finished willingly to get up for the place at the finish. BOURBONCENTRIC was well placed in the two to three path, gained under urging to make a bid in upper stretch, battled with the winner until near the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished then lost the place at the wire while under a mild hand-ride in the end but was clear for the show. EMOTIONLYAVAILBLE hit the inside of the gate start, raced under restraint in the two path on the first turn, was rated off the pace, went around the far turn in the four to five path, chased under a drive in the stretch and lacked the needed kick. TALWYN was hustled to the front, showed the way on the inside while taken in hand, was asked some on the far turn, lost the advantage under a drive in upper stretch and gave way. ZIP FOR RICK settled in the four then three path, was roused on the final turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to threaten. D C BOY'S went around the first turn in the four then three path, staked the pace on the outside, was asked in the two path on the far turn, chased into upper stretch, dropped back in crowded quarters near the three-sixteenths pole and came up empty. AGGRESSION bumped lightly with the runner-up at the start, was reserved towards the back in the three then two path, moved out inside the furlong marker and was no factor. THE GREAT EIGHT established a forward position, dropped from the five path to the four path late on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside without cover, was given his cue in the three then four path on the far turn and also came up empty. LOBBYIST brushed the outside of the gate at the start, was hard held in the two path on the first turn then reserved near the back, saved ground on the far turn and faltered then was eased but walked off.
