Chart notes
BEACH KITTEN broke a step slowly then settled off of the early pace while outside of rivals, roused two wide into the turn, rallied from the three path to upper stretch and closed fast into the final furlong, reeled in ECHO ROAD in deep stretch and was up in time to prevail. ECHO ROAD sent for the early lead, showed good speed while dictating terms into the turn, held a clear lead while off of the rail to upper stretch, all out into the final sixteenth, couldn't hold off the oncoming winner in deep stretch and was nailed on the wire for the win, while well clear for second. THIRSTY ACCOUNTANT broke out at the start then was last away from the gate, trailed into the turn, swung widest to upper stretch and mounted a mild rally to the final sixteenth, couldn't impact the top pair late but was along in time for third. TWIZZLE away in good order, ceded the early lead then tracked the loose pacesetter along the backstretch, saved ground into the turn then lost position at the quarter pole, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, couldn't impact the top pair late then was outfinished in the final strides for third.
