Chart notes
WOODSTER tracked the leaders into the turn while in hand, edged up three wide looking to split rivals at the quarter pole, rallied through the opening when BARJOUJ drifted wide to engage the leader in upper stretch and finished well to pull away in the final sixteenth. PIKE pressed the early pace down the backside, assumed command on the turn to be the leader turning for home and was outkicked in the final furlong while being clearly second best. BARJOUJ stalked the pace to the turn, rallied three wide to threaten, drifted out turning for home while tiring and flattened out down the stretch. MARILYN'S MATE set the pace under pressure on the backstretch and gave way midway around the bend. MALBEC was jostled between rivals to be squeezed to the back and was never a factor from there.
