Chart notes
HANDS OF TIME broke alertly to take command from the gate, set a well rated pace on a clear lead, cruised through the final turn in hand while remaining clear, responded to kick away when coming under pressure midway down the lane and drew off in a well handled ride. VENEZUELAN HOPE prompted the pace to the far turn, narrowed the gap a bit on the bend to be prominent, was outkicked in upper stretch and managed to re-bid late to claim the place. MASAYOSHI reserved off the pace for the first half mile, swept up circling five wide on the turn to loom turning for home and flattened out in the final furlong unable to sustain the bid. POWER FROM ABOVE rated in mi-psck off the pace and rallied mildly in the lane without menace. BIG DIVIDEND was not a factor. BRICK CITY pressed the early pace and was through after a half.
