Chart notes
METALLICAN bothered at the start when his entrymate broke out forcing CALL IT outward, recovered to race off the pace and the inside, three wide into the lane. JOKE TELLER dueled early off the inside, fell back off the other speed late backstretch, went back after that one midway on the turn, dueled into the stretch, shook clear past the furlong marker, nailed by the winner in the final strides after drifting out a bit. FUTILE GESTURE stalked the pace while racing three wide, continued within striking distance into the stretch, stalled a bit midstretch, steered inside the drifting leader and finished up evenly to prove best of the rest. ALL NESSED UP broke out forcing CALL IT into the winner, was straightened, raced back and inside, moved a bit closer turning into the straight, flattened out the final furlong. BETTABE TOUGH away in good order from along the inside, shook clear into the turn, responded when challenged by the runner up midway on the turn, raced on equal terms with that one into the stretch, yielded nearing the furlong grounds. CALL IT bothered and pushed out at the start, raced back off the pace, steadied in some traffic into the turn, four wide through the bend, lacked a closing kick. PARKRIDGE lacked speed along the inside, in some traffic entering the turn, fell back to trail, no response stretch.
