Chart notes
PROVOKER pressed the pace inside, vied for the lead under coaxing midway around the turn, held command from the two path entering the stretch, and dug in late to just hold off an outer foe. AIR SAHARA bumped with an outer foe at the start, chased behind the pacesetter early, was ridden along in the three path around the turn, tipped out to the four path at the top of the stretch, rallied into the final furlong, but was just out of time. MEANER THAN MEAN set the pace outside of a rival, was cued in the two path midway around the turn, lost the lead going by the quarter, then faded down the stretch. SOXY GIRL tracked in the two path, came under a ride passing the three-eighths pole, but weakened in the stretch. RAINY DAY bumped with an inner foe at the start and was well behind early, continued under a drive along the inside around the turn, but never menaced.
