Chart notes
NEW ISSUE reserved between horses down the backside in a clustered pack, rallied splitting rivals on the bend to begin to close the gap, swung five wide at the top of the lane and wore down the tiring pacesetters to kick away late in the lane. OMIKAMI unhurried to be the trailer to midway on the bend, rallied approaching the quarter pole from three wide, found his best stride in mid-stretch when angling to the clear through traffic and was gaining well with a belated bid. EQUINAMOUS stalked the loose pacesetter to the far turn, steadily closed the gap on that one to be prominent in mid-stretch, could not match the winner late and ran-on gamely. STARLIT SKY saved ground along the fence for most of the trip to be well placed, tipped out in the lane to the clear and put in a grinding bid to not do quite enough. OLD FASHIONED GIRL rated in mid-pack on the outside of the tightly bunced field chasing the distant pacesetter, narrowed the margin whil caught wide on the far turn in an early drive and finished evenly lacking a closing kick. CLAIRE'S DARLING set the pace on clear lead through the first turn, widened that advantage down the backside, held the margin through the final bend, fought-on to mid-stretch and gave way in the final furlong. HIGH TRACK chased the leaders for three-quarters and faded from contention in the stretch. SISTER SOLA tracked the leaders down the backside and was through after a half.
