Chart notes
THOMPSON set a pressure pace, turned back a challenge from THISCATSGOTSPEED leaving the backstretch and drew clear in the stretch. COUSIN RICHIE was under a snug hold in the opening turn from along the rail, went in pursuit of the leader in the final turn, but was no match for the winner but finished clearly second best. THISCATSGOTSPEED was five wide in the opening turn, moved up alongside THOMPSON to challenge the front but was unable to get by and gave way. BORDER SONG stalked four wide in the first turn, chased leaving the backstretch then faded. OUR SUNSHINE trailed and passed tiring rivals. DERZKII hustled away, prompted the early pace, was unable to move on with the eventual winner and tired. SMART LAD offered little.
