ODENKIRK was content to hound the pacesetter outside down the backstretch, continued two wide outside measuring the leader through the turn, moved in three wide pouncing outside at the three sixteenths pole, battled with the stubborn frontrunner until the sixteenth pole and found another gear to pull away in deep stretch for the victory. WISE WALKER was aggressively ridden on the rail having the early advantage inside of rivals, rambled on moving very well on the rail slowing the tempo down just a touch around the bend, shifted just off the fence at the quarter pole, was headed outside by the winner still hanging onto the lead inside at the furlong marker, dug in determinedly until the sixteenth pole but gave way grudgingly late holding for second best at the wire. BUDDHA'S DELIGHT had the inside position sitting in midfield, edged up two wide between horses with three furlongs still to run, had a chance between foes three wide in mid-stretch and had a good rally in the final eighth to be a clear third at the wire while just coming up shy with the late surge for the place award. TORBATO missed the break completely well behind the pack in the early stages, caught up to the group while going three wide on the bend at the three eighths pole, still could see the field four wide turning for home, found a seam in the three path at the sixteenth pole and finished up with good late energy to be a fringe player in the end. RYO COMPASSION was in the mix early on having the three path, dropped back of the pace by the five-furlong marker, regressed three wide through the turn, swung out widest in the six-path taking the final corner, darted inside to be four wide with a sixteenth left to run, could not get involved late but was reaching for more ground smartly finishing up with intent when finally getting clear run in deep stretch. CHARLATAN SUCCESS had the rail keeping tabs on the lead two rivals, was under a snug hold measuring the lead twosome on the turn, shifted to the two path in the conversation up top with a quarter mile to go but could not sustain the run and flattened outside inside runners with a sixteenth from home. WRITTEN RECORD was away slowly on the break, travelled awkwardly near the rear from the five eighths pole until the half, started to figure things out lengthening stride inside at the three eighths marker, made a brief spurt getting into contention five wide between foes at the three sixteenth pole, ran greenly staying on the wrong lead through the drive and idled with its run in the final sixteenth of a mile. SECURED ASSETS had the three path outside watching the front two runners, remained three wide keeping a close eye of the front pair around the bend, moved to the four path in the mix in upper stretch but could not find more in the late going and faltered with runners on both sides in the final furlong.
