Chart notes
MISSION INTEGRITY showed speed and set the pace, controlled the action while inside on the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop near the furlong marker, remained well clear into the final sixteenth and held under a strong hand-ride to the finish. JOVEN broke a half-step slow, moved up on the outside under urging, chased in the four then three path on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch, gained in the final sixteenth but missed while clear for the place. DONEGAL LUSTER broke a step slow, climbed into kickback near the nine-sixteenths pole, moved from the two path to the four path while roused on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and weakened but was clear for the show. HORIZONTAL RAIN was hustled from the gate, chased the pace on the outside, dropped back while going from the three path to the inside on the turn and tired. FOOLIN was hustled from the gate, chased the pace down the backstretch, shifted from the inside to the three path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path and came up empty. SPAHI was hustled from the gate then dropped back under urging, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, shifted out to the five path into upper stretch, remained on his inside lead in the drive and failed to threaten. I'M AMERICA became very fractious in the gate then reared hard through the front prior to the start but was held in the stall, was backed out and deemed fit run by the state veterinarian, dropped back under urging early, went from the two path to the three path on the turn and failed to respond.
