Chart notes
CALDO CANDY moved out while urged along off the pace, chased in the four path on the turn, rallied to make a bid in upper stretch, took the lead at the furlong marker, swapped back to his inside lead outside the sixteenth-pole, went back to the proper lead while edging clear late and proved best. OIL CAPITAL angled in while going to the front, raced inside on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage at the furlong marker and was outfinished while clear for the place. DR RUBEN M stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid while dropping from the five path to the three path on the turn, battled under a drive into the final furlong, dropped back into the final sixteenth and weakened but was clear for the show. CRITERIA was fractious in the gate, showed speed then was eased back and well placed just off the pace, raced inside to the two path on the turn, was asked late on that bend, angled out in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. MO THE MERRIER settled off the pace, was roused in the two to three path on the turn and failed to rally. SHOOT THE NICKEL broke awkwardly and was last away, dropped well behind the rest of the field, saved ground on the turn, came out to the three path into the stretch and was no factor. GOLDEN TORNADO pressed the pace on the outside, dropped from the four path to the two path on the turn, was urged between horses passing the three-eighths pole and came up empty.
