Chart notes

BLURT away in good order, stalked the pace along the rail into the far turn, held rail position leaving the quarter pole, shook off BORIS BADENOV approaching the sixteenth post, held sway under strong handling. SANT' ANTIMO took a hard bump from JET FLIGHT at the start, relaxed off the pace and well off the rail down the backside, quickened stride along the rail around the far turn, angled out in deep stretch rallied with good energy for the place. BORIS BADENOV broke alertly, cruised to the front around the first turn, set the pace off the rail down the back stretch, under pressure and unable to switch leads in upper stretch, churned on to the sixteenth post, swapped over to late, ran on held safe for the show. ANTONINO saved ground off the pace down the backside, commenced a bid under a heavy scrub leaving the three eights marker, had no late punch. JET FLIGHT bumped hard with SANT' ANTIMO at the break, tracked four wide mid-pack into the far turn, came up empty. STITZY settled off the pace three wide for the run up the backside, never threatened through the lane.
