Chart notes
DUDE DROP KID in the second flight four wide and between horses into the first turn, remained behind the pace off the inside, came three wide for the drive, set down, advanced and collared the leader inside the furlong marker, wore that rival down under firm handling. PUBLIUS took command past the wire the first time, showed the way through the first turn in the two path, extended that advantage up the backstretch, continued to lead by daylight through the final turn, responded when the winner came alongside with a sixteenth remaining and gave ground grudgingly to that one. SOUL COAXING five wide into the first bend when off the pace, continued in the second group up the backstretch, three wide into the lane, along late for the show while no match for the top pair at the wire. RUSSELLS HUSTLE back off the pace and the inside early first turn, dropped inside, saved ground to no avail in lacking a closing kick. DAN D'ORO chased the runner up in vain, gave way in the drive. QUATERNION last away, trailed throughout and was never a threat.
