Chart notes
SHERKHAN with the pace from the start, vied between horses into the turn, came into the stretch, closest to the inside of the first flight, hooked up with the runner for an extended stretch duel, drifted out as that same foe was leaning in late, brushed, gained the nod at the wire. ONE SURE HIT also contested the issue up front from the beginning, raced on equal terms with the winner exiting the bend, alternated for the advantage past the furlong marker, leaned in late brushing with the winner who was drifting out slightly, missed the nod at the wire. ELECTRIC MAN broke back and was bothered, was used to move up and contest the pace along the rail, vied into the turn, shuffled back early in the bend, continued to stall into the stretch, picked back up the final furlong and rerallied to annex the show. TITO fell back to trail after the start, continued to lag into and through most of the turn, came three wide into the lane, displayed a mild amount of late interest to improve slightly, not enough for the show. REGARDLESS vied up front while four wide up the backstretch and into the turn, began to weaken in the three path outside the top entering the stretch, continued to falter the final furlong. HAY LOVER BOY rank early to bother ELECTRIC MAN, moved out to be five wide up the backstretch and into the turn, gave way through the lane to trail home. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER UP AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH, THE RESULT WAS ALLOWED TO STAND.
