Chart notes
T KRAFT broke alertly from the inside post, attended the pace on the inside, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked in the two path into upper stretch, shook clear into the final furlong, remained clear into the final sixteenth and just held under strong urging. CRAZY MASON settled near the back, was roused in the three path on the turn, moved to the five path late on that bend, came out to the seven path into the stretch, rallied outside while remaining on his inside lead into the final furlong, gained fast into the final sixteenth then swapped to the proper lead and closed with a rush to just miss while clear for the place. SENIOR OFFICER tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, pursued the winner in the stretch and kept on willingly to get the show. BUTTAH was rated while well placed just off the pace, rounded the turn in the two path, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, came into the stretch in the three path, pursued the leader in the drive and lacked the needed kick. DOC SULLIVAN brushed with CONTRARY THINKING at the start, moved in while urged along early, raced well off the pace, saved ground on the turn and improved position. EL GRANDE O showed speed on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, was asked late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the five path, battled outside the winner under a drive past the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened. MOONLIGHT was a bit slow into stride then dropped back, raced at the rear under urging, traveled around the turn in the two path, moved out under a drive in upper stretch and was no factor. CONTRARY THINKING brushed with DOC SULLIVAN at the start, settled off the pace, was roused in the two path on the turn, came into the stretch in the three path and failed to rally. BRING THE SMOKE moved out while settling off the pace, was ridden along in the five path on the turn then driven into the stretch in the six path and came up empty.
