Chart notes
EL ALACRAN was hustled on the rail taking command inside two others heading into the backstretch, opened up at the half, rolled along setting a lively pace unopposed through the turn and had plenty left when asked for more in mid-stretch to hold comfortably for the frontrunning score. UNCAPTURED MOMENT had the early lead outside leaving the gate, regressed outside along the backstretch to sit in mid-pack with a half mile remaining, made a sharp move circling rivals three wide midway around the oval, posed the main threat two wide at the head of the lane but could only chase the winner who had lots in reserve home by the furlong pole and bested the rest for the runners up share at the wire. INTERIM ANALYSIS had the rail position sitting in mid-division, moved up along the fence at the half, continued taking the shortest way around but could not gain on the frontrunner throughout the turn, shaved the corner in the hunt inside another while behind the leader at the top of the stretch but could not find more in the late running losing the duel inside for the place award in the final sixteenth. COMMANDER WORSLEY broke inwards exchanging bumps on the start, had the rail near the rear early on, improved slightly inside runners in midfield down-backstretch, was scrubbed on for more just holding onto position in midturn, shifted out to the four oath for the drive to the wire and ran on mildly trying to close in for third but capturing a minor placing at the finish line. TIME ZAPPER broke out at the start trading bumps, settled on the outside in midfield down the back straightaway, dropped back slightly at the half mile marker, made little impact travelling two wide through the turn and could not get involved in the stretch running. BANKER'S HOURS was unhurried on the outside relegated to the rear, got to the rail but still in last midway down the backside, could see the field just off the fence throughout the bend and while on the rail in the final eighth managed to catch a weary straggler in the late going. YODDHA vied between horses leaving the chute, chased the front pair while outside at the half, was hard ridden between challengers at the five sixteenths pole but could not keep up to the lead three rivals around the oval, swung out widest in the five path taking the corner but emptied out by the furlong marker.
