FORECHECK angled in while going to the front then showed the way, vied inside on the turn, shook clear when set down into upper stretch then extended the advantage under a right-handed crop, switched to a left-handed crop inside the furlong marker, remained clear into the final sixteenth and held off the runner-up under strong urging. ANNOTATE was rated just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, moved out under a drive in upper stretch, pursued the winner into the final furlong, gained on that foe into the final sixteenth and closed with good courage but missed while clear for the place. PLUM ISLAND settled towards the rear, saved ground on the turn, moved out inside the furlong marker and was along for the show. SLINGING SLASHER was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the three path and improved for the last spot in the superfecta. ALL STAR LEIGH tracked the pace on the inside of an opponent, made a bid near the half-mile pole, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked late on that bend, dropped back into upper stretch and weakened but was clear for the show. COMETS CHOICE brushed the outside of the gate at the start, tucked in while settling off the pace, was roused in the two path on the turn, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch, was carried out inside the furlong marker and also weakened. NIGHT SKY stalked the pace on the outside, was given her cue in the three path on the turn, chased into upper stretch then moved to the four path and tired. GNOSIS moved in while urged along, raced inside to the two path on the turn and failed to rally. CONVINCING was taken in hand briefly early, settled under some urging, was roused in the two path on the turn, shifted to the four path into the stretch and came up empty. MARGRETFRANCES was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, raced well back in the field, moved from the inside to the three path on the turn, came out to the six path into upper stretch and was no factor. INFLAME settled on the outside, was roused in the three path on the turn and failed to respond. BRAND LIAM broke a half-step slow, raced well back while far out in the course without cover, went around the turn in the four path and showed little.
