Chart notes

I NEED A MIRACLE settled off the pace, was roused early on the turn, went around that bend in the three path, swung out to the six path into upper stretch, rallied outside into the final furlong and closed strongly to get up inside the sixteenth-pole and win going away. EMPRESS NEW GROOVE bumped with CURLY Q GIRL at the start, was well placed just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, was kept in by ZINAIDA and waited while blocked at the three-sixteenths pole, altered out while roused coming to the furlong marker, steadied in tight between foes at the sixteenth-pole and got up for the place in a tough trip. ZINAIDA tracked the pace, ranged up in the three path on the turn, made a bid outside the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, battled with UNDERCOVER AGENT into the final furlong, led into the final sixteenth but was overtaken then just missed the place while clear for the show. AMENDED DREAMER was away awkwardly but in the front half of the field, settled on the outside without cover, was roused in the four path on the turn, came into upper stretch in the five path and lacked the needed kick while able to get the last spot in the superfecta. UNDERCOVER AGENT went to the front, showed the way on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, battled with ZINAIDA in upper stretch, drifted out outside the furlong marker, fought into the final sixteenth and weakened. SWEET MACKENZIE dropped well off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to threaten. CURLY Q GIRL bumped with EMPRESS NEW GROOVE at the start, dropped back then settled at the rear, moved from the rail to the two path late on the turn, came into the stretch in the four path and was no factor. CHANNELVIEW was ridden along near the back on the outside, traveled around the turn in the three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and failed to rally. PAY THE BILLS (FR) was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, moved in near the half-mile pole, rounded the turn in the two path and lacked the needed response. ILENAS KAZ WAY moved under urging then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the two path on the turn, raced between horses passing the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back in upper stretch and came up empty. GIANT SENSE settled on the inside of an opponent without cover in front, moved in with a half-mile to run, was roused in the two path on the turn and also failed to respond.
