Chart notes
FUMANO'S MAGIC stalked leader up the backstretch, followed along the rail on the turn, rallied up the fence to collar the leader with a sixteenth remaining and dug in late to edge outer rivals. MAKER AND SONS away quickly to take the front, met the bid from VAN GOGH STYLE at the five-sixteenths pole, resisted into the final eighth, held a short lead over rivals on both sides at the sixteenth pole and yielded grudgingly late. VAN GOGH STYLE was closest in pursuit from off the rail in the early going, challenged MAKER AND SONS from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, battled into the final furlong, fought three deep late but could not summon the needed late kick. TAMARANDO BEACH followed in range outside a pair of rivals, took the turn three wide, chased within striking distance down the lane but also lacked the needed late punch. MY BODACIOUS BOY broke out and bumped, came in and steadied early to avoid inner rivals, tracked two wide around the bend and faded. SAMMY DAVIS broke a step slow and bumped with inner rival, checked along the rail inside a pair of rivals early, chased out of range through the turn and weakened. OTTIS BETTS stumbled and bumped with SAMMY DAVIS in the beginning, angled outside rivals while racing at the back, took the turn four then three wide and was never a factor. FIONELLO raced off the pace between rivals then had to check hard early, went two to three wide on the turn and failed to menace. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING SAMMY DAVIS, FIONELLO, MY BODACIOUS BOY AND FUMANO'S MAGIC EARLY IN THE RACE. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT THE VIDEO WAS INCONCLUSIVE AS TO WHO WAS AT FAULT AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved.
