Chart notes

JUICY HANNA ran in tandem with an outside foe at the rear end, began to reach for more ground taking the short way around the far turn at the three-furlong marker, gathered more speed two wide at the quarter pole passing a couple of outside runners, shifted out to the three-path looming the only threat straightening out for the drive and with relentless pursuit got up on the outside with one last surge at the wire in a thrilling stretch finish. MCKENZIE ROAD had a slim lead on the fence in hand comfortably controlling the pace while being pressed throughout by the outside challenger, started to clear away from the early speed foe at the quarter pole, had the two path well in command at the top of the stretch, shifted to the fence for the last furlong with the winner bearing down outside, dug in stubbornly in the late going inside but just got nabbed at the wire in a tight win photo. SERENADING AMAYA was a joint last on the outside, could see the field at the three eighths pole with the pace starting to pick up around the turn, shifted just off the fence in upper stretch and found her best stride late passing inside foes in the final furlong to be a clear but non threatening third. MAXINE MAGIC was on the inside with another rival sitting in mid-pack, took closer order on the lead duo being scrubbed on three wide with a quarter mile to run, moved out to be in the mix five wide at the head of the lane but evened out in the final furling to be a fringe player in the end. CRUMLIN FASHION battled on the outside throughout, was roused to keep up two wide but could not match strides with the pacesetter who was starting to edge clear quickening at the quarter pole, angled to the four path for the stretch run but had little left late wilting between runners dueling for the show award in deep stretch. THATSITTHATSALL settled on the outside of another with the field running in pairs along the backside, could not make any headway three wide in midturn when asked for more, shifted to the five path turning for home and came up empty in the three in the final eighth of a mile.
