Chart notes
SOUTHERN STYLE settled close to the back three wide heading into the initial bend, had to be checked briefly leaving the three quarters marker when an outside foe was angling inwards, travelled three deep on the outside having only the poor starter beaten along the backside, commenced a rally three to four wide circling horses around the final bend, angled to the five path chipping away at the leader through the stretch drive and edged clear in deep stretch for the win. FILM ACADEMY tracked the front pair outside in tandem with another, chased the pacesetter whilerunning inside with the eventual winner at the quarter pole, had the four path battling down the lane but was outkicked by the winner in the final sixteenth and just saved the place share at the wire. BOWMAN'S RUN settled on the rail in mid-pack, was urged right-handed by the rider offering little response two wide midway on the far turn, angled to the six path in mid-stretch finally switching leads and found something more in reserve surging late outside almost getting up at the finish line for the runners up share. THUNDERMAKER pressed the issue on the outside well in hand in the early stages, dueled outside eye to eye up top around the final corner, shifted to the three path for the stretch run getting ahead in front leaving the furlong pole but needed more late when fading inside of runners in deep stretch settling on the fringes. MOTION GRANTED tossed its head hopping up at the start, trailed throughout, skimmed the fence taking the final corner, moved out to the five path in the final furlong had good late energy between horses coming on smartly in the late going. HUMORMEASTORY settled on the outside of another in midfield, was under a drive but going the wrong way regressing at the five sixteenths pole, shifted out widest in the seven path with furlong from home coming back on again finding another but bobbled switching back to the incorrect lead at the seventy-yard marker and stalled with its late run with the rider wrapping up in deep stretch. UNIQUE POWER kept a close eye on the lead duo sitting in the pocket on the rail, could not keep up with the many rivals starting to make a rally at the quarter pole and wilted on the fence by the furlong marker. RELOAD RALEIGH had a slim lead inside, continued narrowly up front with an outside foe alongside throughout the far turn, shifted to the two path just clinging onto the lead at the furlong marker, had little left late and was engulfed by runners at the sixteenth pole.
