BERRY MISCHIEVOUS rallied four wide on the turn then was bumped in upper stretch, was in a long drive and proved best in the end. CANNED HEAT vied for the early lead while three wide into the turn, bore out at the quarter pole and bumped with STRONG POTENTIAL causing that rival to check up then was in a long drive and gamely dug in but hung in late stretch. PERFECT AUDIBLE was unhurried early then rallied five wide in the stretch and closed willingly in late stretch to finished fastest of the rest. CITY OF ANGELS was allowed to settled then rallied two wide in the stretch, was gaining ground and was no threat. DAWSON'S STORM vied for the lead while inside, was in a long drive then weakened in the stretch. CHEATING HEART was unhurried early then made a mild rally but was no threat. STRONG POTENTIAL vied for the early lead while three wide into the turn, was in tight and taken up sharply at the top of the stretch then dropped back in the stretch. ORE MINE chased the early pace while inside, was used up then faltered. CAMP EVANS was unhurried early and two wide on the turn but was no threat. A steward's inquiry was held concerning the turn for home. After reviewing the film's, the steward's disqualified CANNED HEAT from second and was placed seventh for interference.
