Chart notes
PURR FACTOR scooted away while well in hand loose on the engine down the wind aided backstretch, rolled along quickening the tempo playing catch me if you can uncontested up top through the turn, hugged the rail well in control at the top of the lane and had plenty left when asked for more in the final furlong to win comfortably for the gate to wire score. SHOTGUN WEDDING had the two path watching the lone sped pacesetter while having company to her outside down the backstretch, could not close the gap on the runaway leader chasing in vain going two wide on the turn, remained in the two path unable to threaten the winner by the furlong pole and just got the nose down at the wire to win the runners up share at the finish line. HOME FOR A REST had a outside tracking position paired up with another along the backside, travelled three wide around the bend unable to make any gain on the frontrunner in the turn running, could not find more down the lane to close the gap on the winner by the furlong pole and just lost the nod for second while clearly well ahead of the rest for the show money at the wire. SCAT GIRL settled close the back on the fence, took the shortest way around the turn but was relegated to last inside foes at the five sixteenths pole, continued a rail skimming trip and showed some late interest passing a weakening outside rival at the furlong pole to be a fringe player in the end. BESSIE ABOTT (IRE) settled at the tail end between horses midway down the backside, offered little response when urged for more right handed by the rider in midturn, moved out to the three path for the stretch drive but failed to menace in the late going.
