Chart notes
SOCIETY'S KAT seized control inside from the get-go well in hand up top controlling the pace, cleared away from her closest pursuers with the rider sitting chilly midway around the bend, opened up with ease on the fence increasing the margin with every stride midway down the lane and won under a hand ride with very little urging throughout the stretch running being geared down when crossing the finish line for the front running score. STARSHIP PARADISE had a good spot nestled on the rail drafting behind the pacesetter down the backside, continued to patiently sit behind the frontrunner on the fence inside two others waiting for the cue to move in midturn, remained inside having a ground saving trip to be in the hunt at the top of the stretch, could not match strides with the overpowering winner by the furlong marker but still kept fighting getting the photo inside for the secondary award. TANZANITE LILY was forwardly placed three deep tracking the engaged duo in the beginning, moved in taking closer order three wide midway through the oval, bid for the lead for a fleeting moment outside at the top of the lane but was quickly repelled by the overpowering winner by the furlong pole and then was nosed out by the inside rival at the wire for the runners up share while well ahead of all the others at the finish line. THAT GIRL ARTEMUS was in no hurry at the rear down the backstretch, started to make a move two wide picking up the bit getting out of last at the three-eighths pole, angled back inside at the quarter mile marker closing the gap, shaved the corner in with a chance for a small share inside and finished up mildly on the fence winning the minor battle settling on the fringes in the end. DAFINA was fractious in the gate prior to the start, travelled on the outside of runners close the the back in the early stages, made a brief rally circling three wide at the quarter pole to be in the mix in the four path turning for home, could not sustain the run by the furlong pole when stalling and lost the duel outside in the late going for a minor placing. SPEEDY LADY settled near the rear on the rail, was relegated to last inside by the three eighths marker, could not make any gain on rivals throughout the turn and could not get into contention in the stretch drive only passing a tired runner outside in mid-stretch. APRIL DE VELP prompted the early pace on the outside, chased the winner but to no avail between horses through the turn, was going in the wrong direction by the quarter pole and tired, coming up empty four wide in upper stretch.
