Chart notes
SWIFT KAHUNA contended the early pace, drew clear in the far turn, and was ridden out. PENICILLIUM stalked the pace along the rail, and lacked a kick that was needed. DUE COARSE settled inside early, chased leaving the backstretch, and improved late. ARTIC CAUSEWAY vied outside into the opening turn, stalked the pace through the backstretch, and faded in the stretch. REDNECK REBEL broke very slow, was gapped then gained closer order in the far turn and weakened. SURGING SKY unhurried early, chased in the backstretch and failed to threaten. MARCADO'S BOY tracked four wide, and tired early. STEWARDS INQUIRY- An inquiry was conducted into the start of the race involving REDNECK REBEL. After review of the film it was determined that REDNECK REBEL did receive a fair start and no change was made.
