Chart notes
CLUBHOUSE CUTIE stalked from inside, followed behind the leader to the quarter pole, gained an opening and decided to seize the opportunity by launching a rail bid turning for home, grabbed the lead in upper stretch, fought with HIMARI through the final furlong and gamely prevailed. HIMARI dueled from inside, inched ahead on the turn, moved off the rail at the quarter pole allowing CLUBHOUSE CUTIE a lane to challenge, lost command in upper stretch, battled back to the wire and just missed. CONVO broke through the gate a fraction right before the gate opened then bumped MISLEADING at the start, lagged behind up the backstretch, picked up stride saving ground around the bend, produced a mild rally and got up for third. TIME TO SHINE stalked outside a rival, chased two then three wide on the turn, put in a mild bid three deep at the top of the lane but flattened in the furlong grounds. MIMI'S MEMORY raced up close on the outside, chased four deep on the turn, five deep into the lane and weakened. CLARINA fought for the lead outside HIMARI, chased after that rival three then four wide with a quarter mile remaining and weakened in the drive. MISLEADING got bumped by CONVO and came away to a slow beginning, tracked from well off the rail then angled to the three path entering the turn, moved in one path around the bend and had little left for the drive. FOLLOWING AN INQUIRY, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT CONVO BROKE THROUGH THE GATE A FRACTION OF A SECOND EARLY THAN THE REST OF THE FIELD AND IS DECLARED A NON-STARTER.
