LEFTEMBEHIND four to five paths off the inside in pursuit down the backstretch from near the rear of the field, tucked three wide through the turn coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying in tandem with SHATTUCK to overthrow the leader seventy yards from home, then dug in and held the runner up at bay to prevail by a neck on the line. SHATTUCK settled just off the inside at the tail of the field, came under urging with five-sixteenths to go, angled four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying in concert with the aforementioned foe and was ultimately repelled to the finish. SARA'S SHAMAN four then three wide in pursuit, rallied to take command near the five-sixteenths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive under threat and was caught by a pair of rivals seventy yards from home, ran on through to the finish. AMERICAN GRANT broke out a step at the start, chased three then two wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths pole, took the inside route into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. JACKSON HEIGHTS five then four wide in pursuit, came under coaxing with five-sixteenths remaining, spun three to four wide into upper stretch, weakened in the late stages. MO KREESA showed the way in hand along the inside coaxed along from the seven-sixteenths pole, yielded the front near the five-sixteenths marker, took the inside route into upper stretch and faltered in the drive.
