Chart notes
CHRIS'S SONG was rated three wide in the early stages, got nudged along through the turn before making a five wide bid at the top of the lane, put a head in front at the sixteenth pole and was able to hold for the victory. KINGS LANDYN found the middle of the pack around the two path, ranged up to split foes at the quarter pole and claim the rail for the stretch run, grinded away at the lead but just missed. TRUE ADIRONDACKER stalked the pace three wide, held that position through the turn, took aim between runners in the final furlong to put in a good effort but came up just short. ALWAYS HONEST vied with TRUE ADIRONDACKER for the early lead and shook that one off soon after the start before being met on the inside by PORTADOWN LAD, yielded briefly at the three quarters until reclaiming the lead at the seven sixteenths two wide, fought hard to maintain his lead down the lane but got swallowed up late by oncoming rivals. SFUMATO broke a step slow, trailed in the early stages until splitting runners at the five eighths, continued to gain through the turn before taking to the outside of the stretch but lacked the late kick needed to close. PORTADOWN LAD quickly advanced along the inside shortly after the start to claim a brief lead at the three quarters until returning it to ALWAYS HONEST at the seven sixteenth, continued to press the pace along the inside through the turn but weakened in the stretch despite the rider's efforts. VIOLIN raced off the pace on the inside, showed little. HELLZ KITCHEN settled off the pace four wide, trailed at the five eighths, was never a threat.
