Chart notes
WHISKEY BUSINESS lunged at the start but was away in good order, settled off of the early pace, made a middle move between foes and led to the half-mile pole, met the bid of WHITE LILACS nearing the quarter marker then repelled that foe to upper stretch, drew off through the lane and won under hand urging. WHITE LILACS prominent early then took back, tracked the pace into the backstretch, coaxed from the three path into the far turn, challenged WHISKEY BUSINESS at the quarter marker then was repelled to upper stretch, had the rider lose his crop into upper stretch, couldn't keep pace with the winner into the final furlong but was well clear for second. D'ARGENTO BOLT vied for the early lead then took command into the first turn, led to the backstretch, was overtaken at the half-mile marker, kept on into the far turn then couldn't match strides with the other two, was eased through the lane and walked off.
