Chart notes
EXCUSES dueled on the outside up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the two path and kicked clear in the stretch. SUNDAY SONG dueled on the inside through the opening quarter, continued to battle while saving ground around the turn and could not go with the winner in the stretch but chased that rival on to the wire. RASKOLNIKOV bumped mildly with the horses to either side at the start, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, navigated the bend from the three path and finished evenly. ACTION DELIGHT raced in the middle of the pack on the inside early, continued around the turn in the three path and showed no kick. SEA GOD raced at the back of the pack through the opening stages, came around the turn in the four path and made no bid. TAPARINO bumped lightly with the horse to his inside leaving the gate, raced off the pace up the backstretch, continued around the bend in the three path and was empty in the lane. LAST SHALL B FIRST bumped mildly with the horse to his outside at the break, trailed the field throughout, saved ground around the turn and was never a factor.
