Chart notes
BOLD FACT broke a bit awkwardly, regrouped and edged up between runners nearing the half mile marker, tracked to the inside of a rival mid turn, was guided outward entering the lane, drifted in briefly then was corrected left handed, closed stoutly to take over inside the sixteenth marker then kicked clear at the wire. CASEOFTHEMONDAYS prompted the pace two to three wide, went after the leader nearing the stretch, took over inside the three sixteenths, dug in when confronted by the outer winner then gave way grudgingly. BOLTON HILL sped clear early, set the pace towards the inside, met an outer bid near the quarter pole, sparred past mid stretch then faded late. PIPPIN THE WARRIOR , three to four wide with aim, was under pressure into the stretch and came up empty. RAILROAD INN , off the pace and outside a rival, shifted six wide for the drive and offered a belated response. SOHANDSOMETOME flashed speed inside, was outpaced leaving the half, made a mild gain leaving the three sixteenths then flattened out. ZIO LINO , off the pace, raced between foes nearing the three eighths, faltered and was eased late.
