Chart notes
ACCELERANDO soon led, set the pace from off the rail, faced increasing pressure up the backstretch, shook clear passing the three-eighths, was asked past the quarter pole, just held under all out urging. LOST STAR settled mid-pack, advanced on the far turn while forced four wide late on that bend, continued to gain steadily through the lane and just missed. SOL DE VERANO hopped at the start, settled toward the back along the inside, saved ground, ran on for show. ETHNIC SOUL tracked from inside, moved out on the far turn under urging coming to the quarter pole two to three wide, lacked the needed late kick. STARSHIP SERENITY stalked then pressed the winner applying pressure past the five- and one-half, was asked to keep up outside the five-sixteenths but had no late response. TURBO CHARGED was outside at the rear, ridden along three furlongs out but was not a factor.
