Chart notes
EYES ON THE KING had a slim lead on the rail down the backside, rated kindly bobbing heads up front inside through the turn, spurted away in the two path under a well-timed move getting a clear advantage turning for home and kept finding more through the stretch drive pulling away in the very end to prevail in a frontrunning score. KEKOA had the fence sitting in the second flight keeping aim on the lead pair, waited for the cue to move on the rail behind the front twosome at the three eighths marker, shifted out to the two-path looking for a seam turning for home, weaved between horses making a rally getting clear run by the sixteenth pole but could not reel in the winner in deep stretch. MAGICAL FACTOR had the outside position paired up with another sitting in mid-division, sat poised behind the engaged duo outside through the bend, pounced four wide making a bid outside three runners at the top of the stretch, continued to battle for the lead with a furlong to go but could not match strides with the top two inside runners in deep stretch, fading late to be a clear third. SEDBURYS GHOST settled near the rear down the backstretch having only the slow starter beaten, co-trailed on the fence around the turn, could see the field shifting out three wide at the top of the lane and ran on mildly inside a couple of rivals to be well back of the top three while capturing a minor placing in the end. WEBSLINGER broke a step slow lagging behind the group down the back straightaway, ran in tandem sharing the rear outside around the oval, swung out widest in the six-path straightening out for the drive to the wire but lacked a rally outside down the lane. FEARLESS SOLDIER was well held flanking the pacesetter outside in the early going, poked a head in front outside throughout the turn running, angled out to the three path giving way fighting up top between horses in upper stretch and had little left in the late stages folding by the sixteenth pole.
